Joop Kruithof has a MSc in organic chemistry of the State University of Utrecht and a PhD in chemical engineering of the Technical University of Delft.
He worked for more than 20 years at Kiwa, nowadays KWR and almost 10 years for PWN Water supply Company North Holland. He is guest lecturer at IHE Delft. He is honorary president of IOA and board member for life of IUVA.
Since 2006 he is semi-retired, but he is still active at Wetsus the Centre of Excellence for Sustainable Water Technology and he has his own consulting company.
Nowadays his major efforts are on membrane technology and oxidative treatment by ozone, O3/H2O2 and UV/H2O2.
