Professor Hu Jiangyong is currently working in Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore as a full Professor specializing in the field of water treatment and water reclamation. Prof. Hu has more than twenty years research experience on water treatment technology enhancement and water quality control. Her main research interests include water innovative treatment technology, emerging contaminants detection and removal, water disinfection and biofilm control, water reclamation and water quality, and energy efficient treatment process. She has published more than 150 technical papers in various international journals. She has acted as chairs of organizing committee and co-president for a few international conferences and symposium. She currently serves as associate editor, guest editor and editorial board members and reviewers for a number of journals as well as funding agencies. She is ex-President of Environmental Engineering Society of Singapore and is currently serving as Chair of International Water Association (IWA) specialist group on Assessment and Control of Toxic and Hazardous Substances in Water and Board Member of International Ultra-Violet Association. She is currently IWA fellow and also recipients of Prosper.net-Scopus Asian Pacific Young Scientist Award in 2009 and Best Environmental Practice Green Apple Award in 2016.
