Ian Law is a Chemical Engineer with a Masters Degree in Public Health Engineering obtained from the University of Cape Town in South Africa, an Adjunct Professor at the University of Queensland in Australia and a Fellow of the Singapore Water Academy. He runs his own business, IBL Solutions, and has more than 40 years of experience in advanced wastewater and reuse projects in Southern Africa, Brazil, Canada, S E Asia, New Zealand and Australia. He has also been involved in numerous Water Research Foundation projects in the US that are all associated with advanced forms of reuse and regularly participates in the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW) conferences, presenting on international trends in advanced reuse applications.
He has published widely on the augmentation of drinking water supplies with Purified Recycled Water and the need to apply the concept of Total Water Management to all future water supply options to achieve truly ‘secure and sustainable water supplies into the future’ for our growing populations. He is actively promoting this concept in Australia.
